I love all the new Mon Cal color scheme showing up in this challenge so far. The particular color green and large eyes gives him an almost frog like quality. I think you should name him something like Master Ker-Mit Theffrog.
Or not. ;P

Seriously, that's a great color scheme and paint job. Top notch.

Thanks guys - to answer the question, that is part of the softgoods outter tunic that came with the Order 66 Anakin figure. By the way, I really like the Pablo Jill species as well, heres hoping we get a newly sculpted figure of that character, and another for the member of the council seen in ROTS...

I really like the Pablo Jill species like you made darth_sidious... really seems like a younger version of Pablo Jill even... I have a trade in progress right now, if I get the figure in time I might make another of his species for the contest this month. I really do like this theme.

Here's my entry for this month, actually submitted BEFORE the last day of the month. Irasa Nim is made from an Episode 2 Kit Fisto head spliced with an Aura Sing face wtih added eyes. Body is ROTS Mon Motha with the arms rearranged a bit for a slightly different pose, and Bib Fortuna hands.

I'm kinda proud of the head and the paint detail on it. The Mon Cal paint jobs really inspired me to really try to put in some extra detail, with the spotting fading into the darker washes at the tips of the tentacles.

Backdrop is the R2 FX piece with a photoshopped color shift, and dropped in watery background.

Credit where due: my wife helped with the detailing paint on the necklace and coming up wtih a name and title for her.

Oh wow... WOW! This has to be one of the best Yakfinities entries that I've ever seen. I am in absolute awe of how amazing this looks!

The head splicing really, really worked out well. How did you go about connecting the two? With sculpy? Whatever you did really looks amazing. And the added eyes... absolutely awesome.

The color scheme... what a great choice of colors too. I love the idea of a blue Nautolan.

Really stellar work, easily one of the top customs I've seen made for a customizing challenge. 10/10 work on this one.

Very few customs make me take a second, third, and fourth look at them, but I can't stop doing that with this one. It's amazing. Easily one of my favorite all time customs that I've seen.

The head I actually started a long time ago, but it got put into my parts bin as I could never figure out what to do with it. I was kinda working off some Ep 2 concept art, but it wasn't until this theme came up that I decided I had a strong enough concept for using the head and working out a figure to go with it.

I'll try to describe how I spliced the heads. Looking at the Aurra Sing head from the side, I cut out a 90 degree section of the back of her head, the full 1/4 top back of her skull. I did a similar on the Kit Fisto head to get the section with all the head tails, and super glued the two together as a rough fit.

I used "green stuff" to fill in the seams and smooth the transition between the pieces, and also to sculpt the eyes. I sanded a lot, but after painting the seam was still noticeable, which is part of the reason I went with such an elaborated paint job... it helps hide the transition.

I'm really happy with how it looks.

I appreciate all the feedback everyone, it always means a lot to know extra effort put into a custom is appreciated.

This is one of the best ideas for Yakfinities. All the colors and great work on these customs are just great. I wish I had time to enter something into the mix, but I don't think I'll have mine done in time . Anyway, love the customs guys and I'm glad I don't have to judge this one . Thanks to all for sharing.

Would love to see you be able to throw a custom into the mix roron, but I understand how hard it is to find time these days.

As for judging, we keep it a random thing so the less experienced customizers have just as much of a shot at winning as the ones who've been at it for years. :)

wow last time i saw a blue nautolean it was during the SWG tutorial. Thats amazing work must've taken a while to make that diorama tho...
