Chewie - The paint on the Twi'lek is superb, the skin is flawless. And she's quite colorful... you're able to use some very vibrant colors (bright purple pants, for example) without the result looking garish.
The Rodian is great. Star Wars is rarely consistent with the anatomy of its aliens, there's no reason why we as customizers should feel too concerned with little changes like this. I know it can bother me though, and I'l obsess over finding the perfect part... when any old set of hands really would have worked fine. I don't think it takes away from your concept or execution of this figure at all though. Great color scheme, while mostly gray and brown he's by no means dull. The only thing I could suggest is maybe painting the hands to match the brown of his clothes? Perhaps if they were gloves, they'd even be less conspicuous as non-rodian hands. Just a thought. Oh, and he's so armored up, I'd love to see you try to take on coming up with a helmet design of some sort for him.
Tonphanan I like seeing Star Wars species out of their usual environment. Good job adapting the armor to fit such a smaller figure. A Jawa assassin is kind of a quirky concept, but I can really see it working. "A Jawa? You sent a JAWA? Why!?" "Because no one ever EXPECTS a JAWA!"
Ars30 Post some closer images of her if you get a chance, because I want to see more! I recognize some Lady Jaye parts but I'm very curious what else is going on there. I especially like the head too... and the head gear is interesting. Is it a sort of HUD that links up with her gun? Like Chewie's rodian, this shows brown and gray aren't dull colors.
ThunderGod These are both very cool designs, though between the two I think the one using the Grevious head is my favorite. Just the use of the head here makes it look very distinct from Grevious himself, but I think a little paint might have made him even more unique. I would not have thought, looking at those parts individually, that they would ever go together so well.
Raziel I've never been a big fan of the Vong, thought I'm liking them more as a background species the less prominently they've been used in the EU. But you did a great job on the head here, very recognizable. To me, what stands out is the soft goods cape you've given him. Again, something I'm not usually a fan of but the designs and color on this one certainly won me over.
Jedi Knight Cenvax Congrats to our winner! I like the combination of armor with such an archaic weapon. He must use it because he likes it, which suggests he's probably a pretty brutal guy. Interesting that just the accessories can start to tell a story.
Pizza heHutt For a "kitbash" this certainly looks very cohesive. You did a great job of selecting parts that go well together. Gotta love customs that look this good but only require part swapping.
Luke Sprywalker I think you win for best use of those POTC parts. Your paint detailing / weathering is top notch, and your soft goods work is growing on me. I think they blending in very well with this figure especially.
darth sidious Great work on the changes to the face. I really like the colors you used here, but I think if you found a way to incorporate some more of the purple in the upper torso (though I really can't say where) it would have tied the whole thing together. Well done none the less.
Sylexus This is how we all get started! A simple head swap and new gear helps lay the foundation of creating a new character. I hope you get a chance to experiment with painting, as I think this guy would look really unique with just new jacket color.
Paulskywalker I don't know if it's head or the context of the dio, but this guy just seems so no-nonsense. He's a great design though, and the dio you did really shows him off great.
Stormtripper Something about your all black custom just looks rather regal. He strikes me as sort of a gentleman assassin for some reason, a really well dressed hitman in a mask. There's something rather unique about him that I like more and more each time I look at the figure.
Great job everybody... seems like there was a really good turnout for this month's challenge, and we saw a lot of great figures.
