YAKFINITIES #26 - ENTERTAINERS (Winner Declared)

Dan I hate to be the one that doesnt like this custom, I am usually the one that is rallying behind your customs, this one just doesnt seem to work.

The bits I like - The Color suit (glad you went with the blue I suggested) and Skin works, the Pink color of the Hair is cool and the tray is very creative.

The bits I dont like - The lippy and eyeshadow dont work in my opinion, the stance doesnt work (she looks as if she is doing the ministry of silly walks from monty python), and the hair itself dont work (it would have looked better with Aurra Sings hair piece).

Like I said I know this may sound harsh but, I am only trying to point out the flaws I see.

She certainly didn't turn out how I'd hoped either. I really need to reshoot her though, her pose isn't nearly as exaggerated when she's on a stand... she just can't stand up by herself... but it looks horrid in the shot, I know.

Can't really argue about the makeup either...tried to glam her up a bit and it looks too drastic and sloppy.

What is it you dislike about the hair though? I thought something more tendrily would be closer to the spikes we normally see on Rodians. I wanted something more than just a human hair style on an alien... (and I'd already used my Aurra Sing topknot on The Brom).

Nothing harsh about it, I appreciate the input.

I need to revisit her, smooth out the paint on her body, touch up her face, and get a good shot of her in my light box.

I was also working on a male chiss dancer that I might have to finish up... but I just got burned out working on Beeina

I can understand your feelings on this one, Dan. You have made some of the most creative, breathtaking customs I've ever seen, and it shows that no matter how good you are, you need to have some inspiration working on a custom. Hopefully we'll see that Chiss dancer, though.

Yep, here's the wrapup for Star Wars entertainers - looks like we all went with fan fiction stuff this time, which I think is great.

Moving forward we will keep this at two month contests, unless we have a jump in participation. If we can get 15 members to participate in the Black Sun contest, we'll make two winners getting two figures each, and consider going back to one month per contest.

And regardless of participation in Yakfinities #27, over the next few weeks an announcement will be made on a new prize format as well - most likely a prize will be offered, and the winner will get to either stick with that prize, or select a mystery bag that will have something of equal or greater value.

JediLJF - I know you've really been looking forward to this one, and your two transvestite dancers turned out quite well, they have a very nice homemade look to them.

Ausy - Yours certainly is creative, and it must've been hard to allign both figs perfectly to photoshop them in right

Dan - I thought it was great, much better than anything I make, though I must agree with some of the others, the pose isn't exactly natural looking

Chewie - I love the Yak (he should guest star or Yak's Pub) but I don't really see how he entertains, you're other two also look very professionally done.

Rune - Gratz on winning, very hot Twi'Lek :wink: but umm isn't it a bit naked?

Tonphanan - Another great creative entry, this one made me lol. I like how it looks like what it is.

Incom - Star wars 70's band, very nice paint job on these and great work on the instruments

Darth Sidious - I really like the bassoon like instrument, which plo head did you use btw? This guy should join up with incom's band
