WOW, talk about some great entries to get the ball rolling!
I've been checking by when I can, and this month's theme I think got the custom bug to bite again. I'm working on something that hopefully I can be able to submit, this yakfinities is going 2 months, right? Actually, shouldn't be a problem and getting it completed, just utilizing a Joe body, and having some issues with a smooth fusion, to keep the star wars figure feel to it.
Chewie - As usual, great work... The paint apps really bring these guys to life - and I agree that the eyes give them a creepy feel. Looks good. I thin that the thicker torso of Mr. Helrot befits these guys too. I dunno, just makes them look like more than rubber mask and gloves. The sandaled feet also make these a winner. Also, one thing that I've never thought about, but many times when you put together a custom, you go ahead and "army-build." I don;t know how many times you've put together pairs like this, but it's always cool and in some ways makes them seem a lot cooler than just a one-off.
Luke Sprywalker - Wonderful job with Onacondo Farr! The color scheme is so good in capturing the feel of the CW, but without going overboard to making it seem too one-sided in which line he could fit in. Those are Po Nudo's legs, right? I pulled one apart a good while back, and thought that they were so cool, but being static, seemed to be hard to use. I think you've used them the best possible way to show off the nice details of the sculpt, but where having it one-piece doesn;t hinder the figure one bit in the least. Again, good job on the parts and color choices - very nice figure that I think would fit in most anywhere!
DarthVirunga - I am impressed! I haven't kept up with the CW cartoons, or any of the more recent books... Is this a fanfic creation, or something from one of those sources? Either way, fantastic figure. The solid balc outfit makes for a great contrast of the blue of her skin, and of course the trademark red eyes. I've been trying to piece together your recipe for this one. I recognize a Marion Ravenwood head, and I think a little bit of Aayla Secura in there. Maybe Starkiller legs? And it appears you've worked in either Annie or Obi-Wan's skirt from the CW line? Wow, I had wondered if any parts from those could be used without looking too stylized with realistic figures. Apparently, if in the hands of the right customizer, then they work to great effect! Very nice figure there, keep up the good work!
