If anyone has a Maris Brood torso + arms for me, I'd be most grateful. Maris' way too expensive on ebay ($10 and upwards :| )
I think I'm gonna go left field with this one and do one of the female characters from the Droids cartoon series - something Hasbro surely will not tackle anytime soon.
If this doesn't inspire you guys, nothing will.

I actually did something with this one that I very rarely attempt to do....some painting! She also has a pretty interesting hairdo that took a little work to replicate.

Tylie Bata - Female Twi'lek who lives on Braatos VII, she is popular with the locals for her compassion for others and also is never one to speak out against those she feels are corrupt. She'll show up in Chapter 31 of the Rykrof Enloe photonovel series.

Hiirka Femlanto - This lady also lives on Braatos VII, species unknown. The locals believe she is a cross breed. She usually keeps to herself and very little is known about her. She'll show up in Chapter 31 of the Rykrof Enloe photonovel series.
head - Clone Wars Asajj Ventress
hair - ROC Baroness
rest - Legacy Beru Whitesun
Both of these were pretty simple customs, all that I needed to paint was their skin for the most part, and the boots on Tylie.

Chewie they both look great. It looks like Tylie was rushing out the door for this photo shoot. In her haste she put her shoes on the wrong feet. haha
It does look that way, doesn't it? I have three Elsa figures loose, and the feet are all that way on all of them. I was going to do a boil-pop and switch them to see if they looked better, but since this figure has a rock hard pelvic area, I was afraid that this might result in loose limb syndrome like what happens on so many of the POTF2 figures when you heat up the plastic.

Cool selection of females you have there - I've gotta say, that Guri looks pretty amazing - great part combo, and nice paint job too - well done. Hasbro should take a look at that custom when they release a Guri figure - because I wouldnt mind owning that myself. :wink:
Those are some great custom ladies, I like each and every one of them. Per the rules here - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=3484 - they aren't eligible for a prize since they're older work, but it's some great inspiration. I especially like the Guri, you really nailed that one. Amazing work.

Rule #1 - Your figure must be made for this contest... old figures may be shown for examples, but don't go into the "prize pool." And you are only entered into the pool if you create a new custom and show it in the dedicated thread before the deadline.
Rule #2 - You can make as many figures as you want, but will only be entered into the prize pool one time each month.
Rule #3 - You must stay on track. If a contest is to make a Bounty Hunter, you can't make Queen Amidala custom, etc.
Rule #4 - After the end of the monthly contest, a random winner will receive a prize chosen by the Yakface staff. It won't necessarily be the *best* custom that wins, it will be completely random. Yakface staff members can participate, but are not eligible to win a prize at any time.
Rule #5 - No custom is too good for this, and no custom is too bad. Have fun with it and enjoy seeing everyone's work and ideas! And feel free to share your thoughts even if you don't participate!
