Caldin Enloe, known later as Ca-Loe Din
I started this figure quite some time ago, when I was playing Assassin's Creed (the first one). I loved Altair's character design and wanted to incorporate it into Star Wars. Well, After doing a lot of work to make the pieces work together, I experiment with priming the figure with white spray paint before painting...
I'll never do it again, it just gunked up the whole figure. I've tried, over and over again, to get a paint job on it I was happy with, but the primer was just to thick. Back when I did my Renegades, I thought about using this figure as Caldin grown up as the team's resident Jedi, but went with an Older Rykrof as their CO instead.
The figure has sat unfinished for quite some time, but I always liked the idea of him being an older version of Caldin, who in my mind HAS to be a Jedi after the set up in the chapter about Rkyrof's mother.
I'm very tempted to try another, this time basing the look on the second Assassin's Creed game, which will hopefully come out cleaner without the primer applied.
I love the idea of a lightsaber being concealed in a gauntlet, especially during the Dark Times.
The name is just a play on his given name, kind of the reverse of what Obi-Wan did with "Old Ben".
I'm thrilled to finally have this figure finished... Yakfinties is always a great excuse for me to revisit ideas I've abandoned.
