1. That's insanely awesome...

and

2. Is that a jelly bean in Jabba's serving dish?

Glad you like it, thank you!

The "jelly bean" is molded sculpey... :)

Attached is a real favorite of mine. Perhaps more of a Cantina patron, I wanted to show him off now. I really love my wolf man. Here is the recipe

The head is a cast from I am Boba Fett.
Torso--Pericles ape astronaut from the Planet of the Apes movie
Hands--K'hruk
lower body--a Chap mei pirate.

While the stance clearly limits the figure, I am pretty excited about the dynamic, gun slinger pose. More to come now.

This is a group shot of my Jabba entourage. These are figures I am very excited about. The set is a wonderful piece of styrafoam that came with some office equipment several years ago.

While I don't like over muscled figures, I do like using the POTF2 figures for background customs when possible. Why? For several reasons:

1) They are made from sturdy plastic. While they don't have the same level of movement they boil and pop well. The pastic I think will last longer and is of a higher quality than what Hasbro is especially using right now. 2) Generally speaking these figures are cheap--certainly no more expensive than the saga legends. Also they are compatible with chap mei heads and accessories. With a dremel the old Chap mei heads can be used with current figure easily. But I am more of a cobbler than an artist like many customizers across the globe.

Jabba goon from Mos Eisley (sans vest) Gi Joe Mut Head, helmet and right hand; left hand a gi joe stormshadow. Bandolier a Marvel figure; holster: 21st century extreme German soldier; Torso : moisture vaporator Luke; legs: Moff Jirsa (on close inspection the coal grey shiny pants of the deformed Moff is perfect for this Jabba goon at docking bay 94.

Jabba Mercenary--I am not sure what EU name he has but I believe someone called him a pilot and I don't see it. Just a soldier in my eyes.
Head--Chap Mei military policeman
Arms: General Lando
Torso: Panda Boba
Legs: Panda Boba
Collar: Gi Joe movie 2 Firefly
Gun: Star Lord pistol
Holster: German 21st century extreme figure
Suspenders: Chap mei soldier

Human Skiff guard (sans helmet that is a work in progress
Head: Battlefield Earth--which is actually a huge head and very difficult to get a helmet on it. I will add the helmet but wanted to beat the accidental July 31 deadline to participate.
Torso: Jabba skiff guard (nikto from the three pack released in 1998)
Legs: Jurassic Park III helicopter pilot. I love the legs. Actually my favorite part of the figure. I mixed dark ghost grey with flat black to make the main color with light ghost underneath them.
Arms: Rancor Keeper POTF 2
Pike: New Weequay?

Golden Pilot--
Head: Chap Mei fireman with extra fire proof outfit--I strongly considered the head from a winged human marvel character (ark angel?) and would have added Jango headset. But I liked the head so much I am going to use with another custom--either a mando or Republic senate guard officer. Great head with hair that is pushed up as if it has that headset on. But this chap mei head works very well.
Torso: Bespin Luke POTF2
Arms: Ceremony Luke POTF2
Leg: Ceremony Luke POTF2
Headset: McQuarrie concept Leia

Here is a second effort at the Jabba goon from docking bay 94. What I like here is the vest and bandolier and the white shirt.

Helmet: German paratrooper 21st century extreme figure
Head: Gi Joe Agent faces modified slightly
Torso: Luke with t 16 model
Legs: Comic Emperor POFT2 (which while not as screen accurate as the legs on the earlier version, the legging look appropriate for a Tattooine bad guy.
Holster: Missing it fell off which is a negative. But I wanted to show this figure as well.

Thanks Chewie. I love seeing other people's work but don't always make the time to take photographs.

I am dilignetly working on a few merchant customs. Having a few old school characters from EU before it was called EU.

Love your Merman guy. It is a really neat sculpt. I have actually used that specific head as a female character.

Two entries from me. The first is Yoxgit, Hermie Odle's ugnaunt assistant. I used a BAD ugnaunt figure, swapped heads on the ugs and did a simple repaint.

My second is a Weequay guard. I used Sora Bulq's head and legs, the torso from the Vilmarh Grahrk figure and the waist/gunbelt from the OTC Lando skiff guard.

One more entry from my little guy. He spent two days working on this one. He only finished the torture rack so far. He hasn't gotten to the droid itself yet. After seeing Chewie's, he wants me to find some wires.

Consider fabric thread of different colors instead. Apply them with superglue which will stiffen them into a rigid shape. It will be more to scale

I thought the challenge ended end of LAST month.

Woo hoo!
So many great entries in this challenge.
You guys have inspired me to make a bunch more Jabba's palace denizens

Thanks for the heads up Darth Sidious.

Thanks Chewie and Jayson. I know this seems like a weird match, bit I'd like Bastilla Shan and Yoda.

Thanks to Yakfinities for giving customizers the opportunity to use our imaginations and show off our creations. I enjoy thinking of something original to create, and really enjoy looking at the other entries.
