Wow. Some really awesome entries already. I have a few in the works, but nothing ready to show so far. I hope to get some time this week to get some work done.

Edit: BTW, Chewie, that Mer-man head cast is awesome! Do you remember the seller offhand?

Here's an old picture of my merchants from my Mos Cairo dio. I've been working on it for a number of years, I have still only got to collecting parts and making customs. These two are favourites.

Dax Dendo-The Sullustan Dax Dendo run Dax's Droid Emporium on the Strip. He is friendly and jovial like most of his species. He is also somewhat lazy. He usually lets the droids "sell" themselves. He also isn't against selling upgrades for droids (both software and hardware) that are less than legitimate

I'd also like to maybe make a new version of Graga, she seems to fit this theme well... wasn't there some sort of pez dispenser "playset" with her from EPI, or am I imagining that?

You are 100% correct on the Pez dispenser. It featured Jar Jar and Graga. When you pushed the button Jar Jar's tongue swung over to grab the Pez as Graga chopped one of those frog things (completely blanking on the name of them right now)

From his shop in Mos Espa, Watto dabbled in junk dealing and human trafficking before losing a large part of his fortune as a result of a failed bet with the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn. Given Hasbro is probably unlikely to get around to him any time soon, I thought that I would put together my own 6" scale version of the character as he first appeared in The Phantom Menace.

Nice Watto! He's one of my favorite characters from the PT. He just felt like a fully realized character, to me, despite being cgi.

I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew with my project for this Yakfinities. I haven't had much customizing time lately and my plans have kind of grown out of control. Luckily, I had some "help" from my four-year-old daughter today in putting together some things. Hopefully, I will be able to finish the project in time.

At any rate, I thought I'd show a couple of figures that are mostly finished... Sorry for the quick/bad photos... Just trying to snap some shots quickly while cleaning up from the work we did today.

First up, a Chiss infochant or information broker. He's a lazy custom - just Power Lords parts with clothes from an Indiana Jones figure:


Next up: An almost complete female human gun runner/smuggler. Also pretty simple custom. GI Joe Retaliation Jinx body with a Hermione head, Bom Vindin belt/holster and Indiana Jones bandana. I honestly don't remember where the coat came from - Pirates of the Caribean, maybe? I need to touch up the bandana and give her a bit of a wash, I think...

Gwenlyn "Gwen" Redstar Gwen Redstar runs a shop in the Strip called Cosmic Treasures. In reality it should be called Cosmic Junk. The store sells curiousities and knick-knacks that no one realy wants save the desperate tourist. The store is only a front for Gwen's true business; forged documents. Gwen is a master forger who provides new identities for those who need one and has the credits to pay.

Gwen is a repainted TBS Luminara Unduli

Very cool. I like her (and her cool backstory) - definitely looks like something other than a simple repaint.

(Oh, and I messed up in my post - It's a Ginny Weasley head, not Hermione. Oops.)

darthapathy - Wow, I never would have thought that was Luminara! Amazing what a convincing paint scheme can do! Cool backstory too.

my kind of scum - I really like the female merchant, the parts go together really good. And while I typically don't use too many Joe parts in m y customs, this is one that I could see myself copying to a degree.

mousedroidhoojib - You never fail to impress with your creativity in making new versions of characters we are familiar with. That Watto is most impressive!

Thanks my kind of scum and Yak Chewie. She was fun to make. It was interesting what she looked like after taking off her cloak, skirt, and headdress. It's a very nice base figure and headsculpt.

My wife says it kind of reminded her of Zoe from Firefly.
