Great Ronto and TFA figures!

It would be hilarious to see a skittish battle Ronto in action! I especially enjoyed figuring out what the scraps and pieces you used were.

Crusher was also great. I want one now. It looks fantastic.

MKOS, sorry about the flood. That sucks. Hopefully not too much was lost.

I hope everyone had a great Holiday.
I'm not sure if I will finish any more figures for this contest but I'm itchin' to start the next one.

Lugo looks great, OC47151.

darth_sidious - the critter is really fun and looks good! You should call it a "Long-nosed shrewit."

So many Jawas!!! That's a fun and pretty amazing set of customs Utinniii and JawaKing.

Mandalorian678, welcome to the 'yards. Your Iktotchi looks great!

MCScoobyT, the ronto is really clever and the use of Lego is amazing

mousedroidhoojib - absolutely phenomenal work on "Crusher," he looks spot on!

mkos - so sorry to hear about your basement flooding and the damage to boxed items, that had to be frustrating and painful. I hope you are able recover from that.

Hi all, great entries again, took me a lot of time to see them all :)
Mine are nothing special this time - an upgrade/repaint of Teedo from TFA, and I gave him a new custom staff, since mine came loose and without one. BB-8 has been dark-washed and his antenae were replaced with metal ones.

The other is a random Jakku or any other desert planet's scavenger, I called him Gibset Larkdight. More on the figures and recipe will be posted in my customizing thread in a few days :)

Have a nice holiday season, everybody!

Evilivo Great job on the Teedo and BB-8. I also really like Gibset Larkdight. Can't wait to see your recipe because his gun looks fantastic and I'm curious on it's creation

Starchaser Cool name for darth-sidious' scavenger. You can just hear it "would somebody please call maintenance. Looks like we got some shrewits chewing on the conduits again".

When this Yakfinities started, my first idea was a different take on what I thought Rey was - basically a scavenger and her droid. The droid has remained the same since the beginning, but initially the scavenger was much closer to Rey's design. I kept coming back to a robed desert dweller... And then these parts came together and I though I would change and go a different direction and go with an urban scavenger. More like someone scavenging in the underworld of Coruscant or Nar Shadaa... I assume that she found and "repurposed" a construction droid to help her out. Not sure if I'm completely happy with her (considering a helmeted head, for instance) but I wanted to finish her up in time before this one was over. I hope you like this duo:

I really like the direction you went with Rey. She looks great - really nice parts combo.

my kind of scum Pretty cool looking scavenger and droid. Could you tell us about the parts you used for both?
I totally agree with darthapathy.

For those of you interested, here's a group shot of Spic and his whole team. In addition to the droids there are Taver Bo and Vrees Parnondora. Taver is a Corellian former bounty hunter (who still dabbles) and functions as the team's prime communicator/negotiator in addition to salvaging/scavenging. Vrees is from Farstine (a methane atmosphere world) and has lung damage from a childhood accident. Few have ever seen Vrees outside an encounter suit. Vrees is the team's pilot in addition to salvage/scavenging.

Taver is simply a Fangboat Swamp Viper with a Coruscant firefighter backpack whose been dry brushed with some black and had a couple of other minor paint apps. Vreese is a Cobra Heavy Water figure (glow in the dark version) with some gray dry brushing and several of the hoses trimmed of the backpack.

MKOS: Nice pair! (I'm not being lewd). They both look very interesting. She has a good underworlder look. The droid is great too! Nice use of parts. Bonus points since I can't identify them.

Starchaser: Great team. They look imposing. I'm gonna have to make my own Squib now because of you (my deer head is too small so I will have to sculpt one). You really inspired me. Gim also looks like a good backgrounder.

I had really hoped to have finished these for today but, life...

I got this Emperor toy with some other toys but instead of tossing it out, I decided to make it into a Sith. Silly and fun!

Jawa Outriders

These 3 vehicles are used to scout the deserts for droids and debris. This way the Sandcrawler doesn't have to travel so much.

Jawa Speeder. Cobbled together and scaled for Jawas. [MASK? vehicle with bits attached.]

Jawa STAP. This one is used for the rougher terrain since it can fly over obstacles [No idea what this is from]

Jawa Glider. Iderus used to watch the birds in the sky coast on the thermals and wished he could fly. He is hoping to test this baby out once it is finished. He will glide from the top of the sandcrawler and use the repulsors he's installing and ride the thermals looking for junk. He is also making a helmet with enhanced binoculars and metal detectors. He will either kiss the sky or the desert tomorrow.
[Johnny Quest glider and unknown backpack - it had wings]

Resting Jawa mechanic. This is what happens when you force yourself to craft even when you don't feel like it. Sometimes it is better to not craft to relax.

hello guys, just passing by to post a custom and to wish you all a great 2016.hope you like it.

Bantha and his jawa rider. This scavengers use this guy to gather several supplies at a time or to dragg huege pieces of machinery to they crawler.

it is basically paper mache an sintetic fur. used epoxic stuff for details on eyes lids, paws and claws. the rider is all sculpted on epoxic stuff. the cargo net was made with surgical silk treads.
it was really hard to find time to put this guy together. even the riders paint is still wet wille Im taking this pictures. I sculpted him last night so this post could be done on time, Im not really happy with the rider,it has not all the details that I would want, but it will work for this time.It has been almost 4 or 5 years since my last entrance on yakfinities. see you soon guys. adios

Oops. I meant to include the recipes. The scavenger is a Lord of the Rings head, Barriss Offee torso, Mara Jade arms, and Toryn Farr legs with a skirt piece from a Loki figure. The droid is an imported Japanese model kit in its entirety. The box says "MechatroWeGo." Hope that helps and thanks for the kind words.

Lots of nice last minute entries tonight. I can't believe that Bantha is from scratch - it looks amazing!

As you can see, we had a great deal of participation, variety and talent once again; which is so nice to see. There were a few images posted in the threads that I believe were "older customs" but everyone still qualified for posting at least one NEW custom entry. Moving forward though, let's please try not to show older customs - but if they are, please ensure they are labeled as such.

Winners are chosen at random, as always. Our winners are:

1 - my kind of scum
2 - mousedroidhoojib
3 - mandalorian78

Below are the prizes to choose from... you each get TWO of the below 3.75" scale TFA figures, which will be shipped LOOSE/complete with accessories... my kind of scum, you should post in this thread which two (2) figure you want first. Then mousedroidhoojib, you post in this thread which two (2) figures you want. The remaining figures goes to mandalorian78. Yak_Jayson will be shipping your prizes sometime in the next 30 or so days.

yak58_26.jpg

After you have made your selections in this thread, please PM both me and Yak_Jayson your shipping address here in the forums.

NOTE - Any winner who does not claim a prize within 30 days of this announcement has their turn skipped!

Thank you everyone for making this yet another successful Customizing Challenge! And Yakfinities #59 is already underway, those details are HERE.

Are there random winners for stuff at the close of every Yakfinities theme? That's awesome! Thanks Yakface.com for making Yakfinities even cooler! I may have been involved a long time ago had I known, but I drift in and out of my head sometimes, you know...
