GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

This Yakfinties was certainly a success, with tons of great entries.

The roundup will be about 2 weeks away due to my schedule conflicts, but it will be coming in mid July for sure.

Ziro looks good. It is interesting choice for the arms.
The Werewolf is also neat. I liked the story. I would touch up the feet though, and possibly add more blood.

The Aiwha is simply gorgeous! You have mad skills!

The Felucian Attack Gelagrub is also pretty cool. I love the modification and accessories.

I’ve been waiting to see that Bantha since the last contest. It was worth the wait!

Great contest everyone! I had a lot of fun this time. I had an unfinished Jerba and some other unfinished figures still on the table but that’s OK. I always make an impossible list to finish but even if I only make a quarter of them I’m still happy.

There were so many diverse entries. It is hard to pick a favourite. It was also great to have new people join. Too bad Moosbasenick didn’t finish and there were at least 2 regulars that didn’t submit.

Now I'm off to create some dioramas for some of the customs I've made!

Thanks for the comments, Utinniii. The hands and feet were a challenge on the werewolf. Neither apendage would glue straight to the clone trooper armor, so I stuck one of the twist ties into each piece and then glued them in place. I cut a little too much off the feet, too. :(

I will add a little more blood. Didn't want to go overboard with the blood.

Well this is a child feindly forum after all, so less blood is fine! (Brown for old blood and red for fresh.)

With regards to the feet and hands, if you just paint them so they are a uniform color it will look better. If you are patient, you can sculpt hair with glue (or modelling paste) before you paint. I just use white glue (Weldbond) and a pin to apply.

If it isn't to hard, can the black neck guard be removed? that is, if you want to shorten the neck. I actually have very little experience kit bashing and modifying figures.

The head was probably the easiest part. The post was whittled down, and then I dremeled a hole into the head. Didn't go too crazy with the dremel 'cause I was afraid it would go all the way through.

It's roundup time! Finally! Sorry for the holdup.

There were tons of great entries this round; and to be honest the theme had me thinking participation would be much lighter!

Check out all these great customs!

Talk about some amazing variety and talent once again; which is so nice to see. I hope I caught all the entries.

Winners are chosen at random, as always. Our winners are:

1 - darth_sidious
2 - Starchaser
3 - Lordsixth

A big thanks to Yak_Jayson for the prizes... below are the prizes to choose from... you each get ONE of the below 6" TBS figures (note: Rey comes with lightsaber too), which will be shipped complete with accessories... darth_sidious, you should post in this thread which figure you want first. Then Starchaser, you post in this thread which figure you want. The remaining figure goes to Lordsixth.

Thanks for doing the round-up Chewie. And thanks Jayson for the prizes. I know the prize selection was random, but a heartfelt "thank you" still feels both needful and appropriate, so "Thank You!" And thanks to everyone who participated, it was fun to see all the creativity and skill. I'll wait to specify my selection, as per the winner order, but will be happy whatever way it goes.

This was one of the more "out there" challenges, which I think made it a lot of fun. I'm so happy to see the variety you guys came up with, we certainly have a creative group here on Yakface - this is the best place on the web for SW customizers. Thanks is due to Chewie for all his organization and effort - you've always inspired this segment of the collecting community. Thanks to Jayson as well, not only for the prizes, but for maintaining this site.

Congrats to the winners and everyone that participated - I hope Hasbro watched this challenge and starts to release creatures again - several of you made items I'd happily buy! As for the figure selection, I was actually thinking about picking up the variant Rey with the updated deco on her face, BB-8, and the addition of the lightsaber - I've just never seen it. She is my top choice - thanks. I'll now have the massive 6 inch collection of 2 figures! Haha, well 2 1/2.

The kids say, "Kanan! :D" So Kanan is the prize choice for the Starchaser clan. Thanks again, and congratulations to everyone for another great contest.

The round up is possibly my favourite part of these contests. They are so diverse and interesting!

Congrats all winners (including the 3 that won prizes!!!)

Sorry for my late reply, I have been on holidays! Thanks a lot Yakface team. Creatures is what keeps me collecting 3'75" figures, that is why i found this thread the most interesting for me.

I have seen lot of talent here, Lord_sidious you have amazing sculpting skills!

Lugo_Matapollos, I love that Ikopi, is made from other animal parts?

If there's another creatute contest I will try to come up with something new (I already have a few projects on mind).

Again, thanks a lot

By the way, I am planning to make a cast in case someone is interested on it but I have never done one in my life haha.. possibly in a nearest future.
