Hey guys, thanks for the congratulations, and to you too, Lance Quazar (your Bodhy Rook is spectacular and I want to own one ;) ). It was a great surprise and delight to see I won and the prizes are incredible! I started to make a list of names from the contest who's customs impressed me very much. Then I realized it included like almost everybody, so it would be quite long. I'll just say this time there were at least 10-15 figures I wished I owned or made myself :) And Mousedroidhoojib deserves a special prize just for the sheer volume and creativity if his customs, IMO.
Since the theme was Rogue One, it seems appropriate that I choose the Cassian Andor figure, I've been hunting for him for a long time now and he'll go very nice with my new SA Jynn :) Chewie, I'll PM you with my details.
Congrats to the other winners and let's move along with the next Yakfinities.

Very cool. Do you intend to release plans for your Hover Tank? Are you aware of the YouTuber poppycreations who made a remote-control Hover Tank for 3.75" figures? (He hasn't released plans.) If you could use help on this, I would volunteer to assist, to edit the template sheets for the PDFs. :D

I myself do not own a color printer -- or any printer. I simply go to FedEx Office and print from their do-it-yourself copier machines, inserting a USB stick with my PDFs. It's how I printed all the templates and color decal sheets for my 1:18 scale U-Wing.

I don't really have plans for my Tank. I based them off the few photos that were out there. (I kinda wished I had waited until the DVD came out.) I did everything by hand, not computer since I don't have the programming skills. I wish I did, but I've never taken the time to learn and I enjoy the tactile nature of doing it by hand.

Here's a link to my tutorial of sorts:

Check it out. If you think you could make something based on that, shoot me a PM and we can work something out. I've always shown how I make things so people can recreate them if they want, and have the advantage of not making the same mistakes as I did.

I haven't seen PoppyC's RC tank. Mine fits on top of a toy tank and could probably fit on an RC if someone wanted to. I haven't added my custom Nerf to mine yet.

My library has a color printer and I printed out one today. I was waiting for the B&W one since my original idea was to make a cardboard shell but have cast hinges and sides and any textured bits.

I'll post the template for the crates this weekend if I don't hear from Muftak by then.

Hey ya'll,

I assembled the paper crate and it still needs tweaking. Muftak is super busy so IDK know when he will finish it off. I will post it as soon as I can, but it is unlikely that it will be this weekend.

(I feel bad I mentioned it in the first place, but I thought it was the final draft when I mentioned it the first time.)

The U-wing Accessory Kit (for my free build-it-yourself 1:18 scale U-wing kit) will be ready for free download before July 1!

I plan to include some old-school, Kenner-style decals, too.

Here's a bonus item that will be in the Accessory Pack: templates and instructions for building this rotating gun mount. You'll be able to put this inside the U-wing's troop hold, aiming it out one of the side doors. I'm trying to design it so that most of the missile launcher accessories that come with the Rogue One figures can fit on it.

I deliberately designed this to be a toy-ish, asking hypothetically, if Hasbro made a U-wing at 1:18 scale, what play elements might they include in it? Now you can put those action figure missile accessories to good use!

That's looking pretty cool.
As I have yet to hear back from my partner, I'll post the last version he made before giving up. I asked for but never got the original files so I could fix it. I regret mentioning that I would post it as it is unfinished. I hate it when people are waiting on me. If it ever gets finished, I'll post it here.

The pilot seats and control panel glued together. (The left seat is set back a little for K2.)

Current status of the Accessory Pack -- I'm well ahead of schedule! Just working on the decals*, and taking instruction photos for the guide.

* -- Blank decal templates will be included to invite anyone who has better art skillz than me to design their own decals for the interior. My limited drawing skills only allow me to create Kenner old-school style art. :)

One more sneak peek before I release the Accessory Pack for the 1:18 scale U-Wing build-it-yourself kit, by the end of this month...

A before and after the interior is filled out:

Wow, this thing is huge!
On another note, does anybody here know if the prizes have been shipped?

Prizes were shipped last week to all but forum member Cantinascum, who has not sent me shipping details yet. I held off on shipping for a bit because I was hoping to do all at once. I shouldn't have waited so long.

I know it takes a little while for the prizes to get there, and I did use the cheapest method they say is available (sorry - was still $13~ per figure to ship and the next class up to Europe ends up being quite a bit more).
