How about droids? Battle droids, mechanics, pilot droid, medics, mandalorian basilisk, x-1 viper from dark empire, etc, etc...they could work also as staff or supporting crew.
Interwar - anyone from the period between the Clone Wars and the GCW. Younger versions of OT characters, older versions of CW characters or anyone else in that timeframe!
I know it's not a fan-fave source, but what about Resistance, the animated series? Perhaps include any comic characters (from Poe and Phasma series), GE characters from that era. Customs need not be limited to animation style, make 'm realistic if desired. This was another line where Hasbro dropped the ball, so much potential characters and vehicles, and launching the line after season 1 ended.

Anything that is from the post-Legends, Disney era "expanded universe." So not the ST or The Mandalorian, but any of the new animated series (Rebels, Resistance), new comic books, new video games (Battlefront, Fallen Order, Squadrons) and even Galaxy's Edge.....
Well, I'm just confused about how to vote now. I'm working on figures that could fit three or more of these categories that I was hoping to have finished before the "Open Season" challenge ends, but perhaps I should wait until voting is over to finish the one(s) that fit the new category

^ yeah, there were 2 I wanted to vote for, but after thinking about what plans I have for future customs, 1 ended up w/ more personal choices than the other. ATM, I have quite a few more TROS film characters and a few TFA/TLJ film characters I'd like to do so I went w/ that theme. I have a couple GE characters and Duel of the Fates alternate versions I'd like to attempt, hence initially torn between sequel and Disney EU. Not sure if I can get those done for Open Season, since I'd need to go to a couple toy shops and go their loose/incomplete bins to find base figures and i doubt I'll have time in the few remaining days of Sept,
