A regular in Chalmun's Cantina, Doctor Mandible was particularly fond of anyone who would settle his bar tab.

Here's a few:

Raddy Skane - Raddy is a poor businessman cursed with bad luck. He tried to make a living as a freighter pilot, but early clients managed to take out a lien on his ship and he lost it. He then tried to establish a moisture farm, but that went belly up, too, when a herd of wild banthas careened through his vaporator field. Hard up for money to pay for food and a low rent apartment, Raddy turned to the one thing he could do, sing and play the synthesized strumdither. Now he busks on the streets of Mos Eisley.

Eelaphura (Eely) Borwen - Eely has grown up on the streets of Mos Eisley, her mother having passed away from an illness shortly after Eely was born and her father badly crippled in the starship crash that stranded them on Tatooine. In a bid to provide for herself and her father, she learned the art of the pickpocket to augment any begging she does:

Dejana - Dejana was child number eight in her Gorsi family of nine children, mostly boys. She felt unseen growing up and didn’t have good prospects for the future. When she was old enough, she found work and earned enough money to leave her home planet and find her own way. She is determined (a bit hard-headed even) and has both strength and stamina and enjoys a good relationship with her fellow bar staff:

And a couple more:
Peskee, a Ranat Eely found and cared for. Peskee was the runt of her litter and was driven out of her warren by her litter mates. This saved her life as she was not present when a team of pest exterminator destroyed her family. Wandering the streets hungry and vulnerable, Eely took pity on her and now Peskee will do anything to help or protect her.

Coid Robon – Once upon a time a freighter pilot who smuggled for the Pyke Syndicate. When the love of his life got hooked on Pyke spice and was killed in a speeder accident, he blamed himself for smuggling the stuff and gave up on life, trying to drown his guilt in alcohol.

I don't do much customizing these days but had to include an entry for this great theme. One of my favorite TFA figures is Sarco Plank, and when I found an extra loose sample, I just knew I wanted to bash it with a Nute Gunray cloak. I really like the similar color palette and stocky proportions (reminds me of the "senator" style of figures from the good old days). Now I can happily add an alternate version of this oddball alien to a display.

Really like the name and backstory on this cool little custom. I've frequently thought about doing a Reegesk figure and actually think it makes more sense to do something Jawa size, instead of the lanky character seen on screen.

Thanks! In Legends/EU the Ranat tend to be smaller, so I went with it. Underneath, she is actually not a Jawa, but a combination of the Dark Crystal Hup (legs) and Hoth Leia, so that if I ever take the tunic off, she still "works" as a custom female character.

Your space freak is equal parts weird and wonderful - it would be cool to see something similar done to create Abeloth.

Awesome entries, keep them coming! And welcome to the forums, Hero-of-the-Dune-Sea! Great addition to this round!

Here are a couple customs I made a while ago that fit nicely as "bums" but they are older customs, so they don't count. However, I wanted to share here for fun.

Tago Pimms – Gungan barkeep. Tago’s parents where Gungan diplomats to the human Naboo. As a result he is a “third culture” individual. He learned Gungan culture and to speak Old Gungan, but he didn’t live among his people. Instead, He lived among the Naboo, learned to speak Basic like a Naboo and developed tastes and perspective more in line with the Naboo. But he wasn’t accepted by them by virtue of being Gungan. In the end, he decided to leave Naboo and find a new home with greater diversity and acceptance. A gregarious individual with an acute sense of smell and taste, he found the life of a mixologist and barkeep a good fit for his skills and personality, and many of his patrons agree.

Tago Pimms is cool, great use of parts there. Fun seeing a Gungan custom.
