Voting is closed now, and it wasn't a tie. We've had many of these going back since 2006 where the voting has been close and we've always stuck with the winning theme. I'm not planning on setting a new precedent just because voting was close.
Also, it doesn't make someone a "gooner" for voting for it, or making a custom of a female character... come on now. But if someone wants to make a Mini Rig custom or any other theme, they can; it's just not going to be included in the roundup report.
In a broader sense, for the first time since I started these in 2006, I'm starting to get burnt out and feeling stressed by Yakfinities. I deal with more than enough stress with real life challenges for negative vibes to start creeping into my hobby (which is supposed to be my escape from the daily drag that is much of my life).
Suggestions are fine and I welcome them, but I'm honestly getting worn down. In conjunction with some negative feedback on the prize options recently, I see a light at the end of the tunnel to get out and focus more time on my photonovel passion.
When something starts feeling like more of an obligation or chore rather than fun, then I know what I have to do. To put things into more perspective, I've personly donated hundreds of figures to Yakfinities over the years out of pocket, spent countless hours putting together roundup reports, promoting these, etc. Essentially, I've expended a lot of "me" to try and do something special for the customizing community with Yakfinities. Sometimes I wonder if it was really worthwhile. Is the juice worth the squeeze? I'd say not really.
Anways, I'm sorry that I can't make everyone happy with these, especially recently. But there will come a time sooner rather than later that I hang up the saddle. It 100% feels right to retire these before too much longer. And when that time comes, hopefully someone can assume ownership of something better for the community.
