Thanks Chewie, the parts come from a Jedi called Sev, from the Order 66 2-packs - but I wanted to keep the gran feet, so I sliced the boots off and created pegs to add the Gran lower legs to Sev. I also sliced up the upper skirt so that she can sit. The lower skirt is from a Tusken Raider figure. I wanted to make her a bit taller and in shape, since she is a Jedi - rather than short and wide like most Gran.

nice combo darth_sidious. I'll have to try the peg thing out sometime, did you use a drill kit similar to those used with reaper figures?

Thanks guys, to answer the question, I use a regular power drill with a small bit. Say I slice the hands off another figure - as seen with Maks Leem above, but want to maintain articulation instead of gluing them to the arms, I simply drill a hole into the wrist of the loose hand, and glue a peg in that will fit into the existing hole in the arm.

Hi Guys!

Been lurking for a while - I usually post over at Rebelscum - but I love the idea of these Yakfinities Challenges, so thought I'd take the plunge and make something to enter this time.
Some really excellent work here! My favourites are Stinker, Lady Chiss, and especially the Gand Scavenger Volussk!

Here's my entry, a Nautolan Smuggler:

Recipe:

Head - ROTS Kit Fisto
Torso / Pelvis / Upper Legs - PoP Prince Dastan
Arms - ROTS Dooku
Lower Legs - TLC B-Wing Pilot
Feet - TAC Tycho Celchu
Coat - POTC Will Turner

He's an easy-going dude with a good sense of humour. But don't cross him, or you'll end up with a blaster hole in your chest!

Hope you enjoy him!

Hey all. First post, first 'custom'. It wasn't very difficult, just boil and pop with a few adjustments for fit, but it was a ton of fun. I may have found a new hobby!!!

P.S. I'd love some feedback (positive OR negative...that's the only way to get better after all)

That's a nice combination of parts, JC, and a great way to make yourself familiar with this hobby. Oh and yeah, you're hooked now, whether you know it or not :D

Cerean smuggler Vlar and Kel Doran smuggler Korv were successful smugglers for the Separatists during the Clone Wars. Although they had no real allegiance to the Separatists cause, they didn't mind taking their credits.

Agreed, this one is turning out better than I thought it would as well, it's great seeing so many different ideas come out of this. I also have a few more I need to snap pics of!

Nautolan Smuggler - Love the different look for this species. I like seeing different 3.75 parts used, it really expands the reaches of what can be made. Great color scheme too!

Jacen Cobb - Might be a bit simple, but nothing's wrong with that. The parts go together very well. I especially like the choice of legs used. On thing though, on that Biggs jacked - most of those have a blue tint from the cape he was packaged with. A small dab of Goof-Off, rubbed onto it, will remove the tint.

Kel Dor and Cerean - Both look great, and the Kel Dor looks especially tough. That's a perfect mix of realistic and CW parts, it definitely fits in well. The Cerean also has a great use of parts and I like the use of the hood there to make him look less like Ki-Adi Mundi.

Awesome work from everyone. I hope to find some time this week to comment on everyone’s work.

Here is my Smuggler, Jaxter Battlehunter. Captain of a small salvage vessel Jaxter and his crew use their salvage cover to deliver whatever is needed for whoever has the money to pay.
This was my first try sculpting with putty, he needed a small torso extension.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the comments, and thanks Chewie for the tip. Do I remember reading a tutorial on the use of Goof off here? I seem to remember there was a bit of a process involved, but could be mistaken. I will check out the product for sure. Thanks for the compliment Scorpio, your smuggler is out of this world. I love the pirate feel, it's unique but very Star Wars. Great Job! Thanks orangepeace. Great custom, and I'm glad you gave the 'completely painted' heads up. It looks so good, I assumed it was factory. Fantastic job. Incom, thank you very much! I'm already looking for cheap figures to get more practice before risking 'better' figures. I've done a ton of reading on painting and cracking methods (and used boil and pop)...this could get to be a habit :p. That Twilek Smuggler is ridiculous, it looks perfect. Great work.

And to everyone else, GREAT JOB. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite so far. They are all so good, in there own ways. Keep em coming!
